18 hour fast and Day 5 CHECK!!!!

i am so over joyed and excited now i read my scriptures and MOST OF ALL I FASTED for 18 hours straight I cant believe i did it not one time did i even think to eat something and also the time went by so fast that before i knew it noon had passed and it was 2pm and i still hadnt ate. Like i said Fridays are crazy for me and true enough friday lived up to its craziness because i didnt get a chance to workout today so i will use today as a rest day and make sure i make it to bootcamp at 7am ugggggh!!!! which is the number one reason why i hate bootcamp on Saturdays....Day 5 goes down in history......

Good morning to all HAPPY FRIDAY most importantly happy holiday weekend....Day 4 went perfect for me I am just so focused right now and reading the scriptures only make me stronger..I feel like I have already won this battle.....

Day 4 I stuck to my plan and ate everything I said I was going to eat and excercised as planned. I must say though if you havent taken a bootcamp class with Lyle then u need to!!! Man those bleachers yesterday is what the doctor ordered for slimming down.

Oh and YES!!!! I started fasting at 6pm (Thursday) I had to calculate my 18 hours so that the fast would be beneficial to me. Before I was like I will eat my last meal at 8pm so that I can eat something by 2pm on Friday.....NOT!!! after I thought about it I realized that 2pm was way too late so I did some calculations and realized that I needed to eat at 6pm so that I could eat my first meal at noon on Friday...Didnt think I could do it but by praying and having the will power I can honestly say that I have been fasting so 14 and a half hours later I am well on my way.....THROUGH DAY 5

Day 5 is a Friday and Fridays for me can get tricky because I am so not on a set schedule however I am still fasting for the next 4 hours I am a little dizzy and light headed and even feel a little nauseated but I think I will be good. I did drink a half glass of apple juice before leaving home in hopes that would take away the dizzyness.

Meal plan for today is short (since I am fasting)

Breakfast: 1/2 glass of 100% apple juice

Lunch: baked catfish fillets, apple, sugarfree jello pudding, steamed veggies, salad

Dinner: Tuna, apple, sugarfree jello pudding

Excercise: I will only make it to the track today to run my mile and walk my mile
I will not do my mid day power walk....after all it is FRIDAY!!! Well thats all folks let me leave you until next time

Day 4 of 40

Good morning to all, I am up this morning in sound mind and body and I thank GOD for that. I have read the scripture for the day and I have prayed and I know that if I open my heart and confess it with my mouth then it shall be done..........

I always like to blog in the morning because I have time to think what I am doing and my mind is fresh not saying that I am not fresh later in the day but I tend to get busy as the day progresses...

My plan for today is as follows

1st thing 1st I am preparing myself mentally for the 18 hour fast on tomorrow. I have already figured that I need to eat my last meal at 6pm today in order to eat by noon tomorrow (because I know me and I am going to need to eat something) I keep talking to myself within and out loud if need be all to get me mentally physically and nutrientionally prepared for the fast. Although it sounds tough I know I can do it I just have to remain prayerful and willfull and one thing about me is that I dont like to be defeated I like to conquer all things (I think some of yall already knew that about me) It takes a whole lot to defeat me that is for sure I am highly competitive and I feel there is nothing I cant do so with that I embrace the fact that for the first time in 31 years I will FAST...............

Breakfast : 1 Banana (yes I am tired of oatmeal so if anybody can suggest something else I can eat at my desk I would appreciate it)

Lunch: Lean Cuisine meal, sugarfree jello pudding, watermelon

snack: watermelon

Dinner @6pm because rememeber I have an 18 hour fast from the last time I eat Lean Cuisine meal, apple, sugar free jello pudding

Excercise: 1 hour power walk in the mid day 11am to noon

evening: BOOTCAMP

How I feel? I feel great day 4 is easier than ever I am in the right frame of mind and I am starting to believe in myself and I say this because, I dont like to run, I prefer short fast things like the relay races we do in bootcamp, or running the bleachers, or doing a pyramid, or running through an obstacle course I rather do all those things than run around the track for one lap or a mile it doesnt matter the distance but if it is running I DONT LIKE IT!!!!!! :) So my next thing after the fast that is, is that I will prepare myself mentally to run this 5k in October, that as a goal at the end of the 40days doesnt ruffle my feathers at all....I am surely not motivated....I will keep you posted and we will see....Until take care and see u later for the recap and I will also mention what time I actually take my last meal to start my fast......I am really shooting for 6pm

a day late and some pounds lost......

Ok o I didnt do a recap for day 2 because I was so excited to get in the bed early that i forgot and didnt realize it until my pretty little eyes were closing....so sorry for that here is day 2 in a nut shell.... There were absolutely no detours nor did I have to reroute anything breakfast 1 pack of oatmeal with 2 splenda and half an apple

Lunch: boneless skinless baked Chicken and corn and apple

Snack: sugar free jello pudding ( I love the chocolate sugar free jello pudding)

Dinner: Chicken and brocolli and apple

snack: apple

Excercise: mid day 1 hour power walk from 11am to noon

Evening: Bootcamp which wasnt bad at all

Now that you are caught up on Day 2 lets fast forward to today DAY 3

Breakfast was one pack of oatmeal and 2 splenda sugars and an apple

Lunch: Lean Cuisine meal and 6 watermelon slices and sugarfree jello pudding

Snack: sugar free jello ( I loves the chocolate sugar free jello pudding)

Dinner: Lean Cuisine meal and an apple and guess what sugar free jello puding

Excercise today 1 hour power walk mid day
30min in studio and yes the workout was something terrible but I made it
I also went to the track and ran a mile walked a mile and did the bleachers
Also note I always do my 15min of homework that is assigned everyday as well (within the 2 miles I ran at the track)

Overall Day 3 was easy my mind didnt wonder to unhealthy thoughts I am happy and feel great I am mentally preparing for the 18 hour fast on Friday.....

Day 2 of 40

Good morning I am up Glory to be to GOD for that.....
I am in sound mind and body and I feel great....I have meditated on the word today and I am ready for whatever the day may bring.....Most importantly I am feeling healthy already on day 2
my plan for today is:

Breakfast: One pack of Oatmeal with 2 splenda sugar packs

Lunch: Baked boneless skinless chicken, corn, cucumber and tomato salad, sugar free jello pudding

Snack: sugar free jello pudding

Dinner: Baked bonelss skinless chicken breast, mixed vegetables

I drink water all day I normally freeze a one liter bottle of water and I will have about 4 to 6 of those a day
I drink a crystal light pour in with my dinner

Execercise plan for today:

Mid-day 1 hour power walk

Evening 45min bootcamp

recapping day 1 of 40

ok so I said when I woke up this morning I was feeling good and 2 workouts later I am still feeling good..... The re-routes of the day was 1 I didnt get to get my mid-day workout in because I unfortunately had a meeting scheduled for 1130am and i normally take my walk from 11 to noon...note to self dont do it again....2nd the meal planned that I had pre-planned didnt work at all....although I did not pick unhealthy foods just not the foods I mention when I was in my right mind earlier this morning. Instead this is what I ate today day 1 of 40

Breakfast: One pack of oatmeal with 2 splenda sugars and half an apple

Lunch: one catfish steak (come to find out I rushed and prepared them last night and they were horrible so I threw the remainder of the one and the other whole one in the trash. So I pigged out on my cucumber and tomato salad which was the BOMB!!!!! I also drank water(remind me to tell yall my water strategy later)

Snack: The other half of the apple left over from breakfast, and sugar free jello pudding

Dinner: I had 2 pouches of the starkist tuna that u can buy for 1.00 at Shop n Save (Plain) straight from the pouch to a Club cracker ( 8 crackers total) also a bottled water with A Hawaiian Punch pour in (the same nutirents as crystal light)

Snack: whole apple and small box of raisins

All in all day 1 of 40 was a success in my book the devil threw curve balls at me and I answered with prayer and motivational speaking to myself within......
The other positives for the day is I made it through the 30min in studio workout and I did my homework successfully running for 15min without stopping....yaaay!!! ME!!!!

Day 1 complete now on to day 2..................................... If we claim to fellowship with GOD and still walk in darkness we lie and do not live by the truth.......Translation: If we claim to have eaten right and done our homework for day 1 of 40days of fitness for christ when in actuality we have not done anything (eat right or excercise) then we are still in the darkness and have lied about our progression towards a healthy me you and us then we are not living by the truth and therefore will remain FAT!!!!!

Day 1 of 40

Ok so day1 has officially begun, and so far so good. I woke up this morning with positive thoughts and in my right mind....Last night I prepared my Lunch and a snake. For breakfast this morning I had one pack of original oatmeal and 2 packs of splenda sugar to add a little something to the oatmeal. ( I know it sounds nasty but trust me it is not that bad at all) I have told myself that I am going to take it one day at a time. So cheers to day one and I pray that GOD take all tempting thoughts of unhealthy food out of my mind right now...

Meal Plan for Day 1
Breakfast: one pack of oatmeal with 2 splenda sugars, and half an apple
Lunch: 2 Piececes of baked catfish steaks (both pieces total about the palm of my hand)cucumber and tomato salad, crysta light pour in.
Dinner: 2 Pieces of baked catfish steaks, steamed vegetables, sugar free Jello Pudding
Snack: apple and sugar free jello pudding

Excercise Day 1

mid-day.......1 hour power walk

evening.......1 hour cardio of some sort running,bleachers etc....

Night.........30min of in studio workout
